Paramedics are people who help those who are in need in our community.  Paramedics are the people who work in the Ambulance.  They are the first to arrive when you call the 111 service and you ask for the ambulance.

Paramedics determine if you are seriously ill where you are, e.g. home,school,work or elsewhere and help transport you to your local hospital.  They are trained to administer medicine to those who need medication before arriving at the hospital.

Paramedics transport you in the ambulance and monitor you until you arrive at the hospital.  They will inform the Doctors and Nurses what has happened to you before handing/leaving you to them to carry on looking after you until you are better and discharged from Hospital.
